Pamela Macaluse, a romance author, had been a rising star, finally living her dream until last year when her husband Joe Macaluse, a career military man, shot and killed her and their two boys and shot himself. He was an abusive man, and when Pamela wanted to divorce him, he couldn't let her leave him and opt to shoot his entire family and himself.
Pamela's family set up a trust fund to fight domestic violence, so that the tragedy that had happened to Pamela wouldn't happen to other women. Her publisher Silhouette didn't mention any of this in fear that such a dark and heavy subject may turn off their readership; however, any royalties from the sale of her books will be used to fight domestic violence.
Because Pamela's books are categories, they're very hard to find; however, you can still buy them at Amazon.com. Her books are poignant and well-written. I urge you to help the cause by purchasing her books.
